Introduction
One of the four main pillars of the Cadre Stratégique de
Lutte contre la Pauvreté au Burkina Faso (Battle against
poverty in Burkina Faso) consists of increasing the chances
to get work and to develop activities to increase income for
the vulnerable population. To the realization of this aim
the government recommends: |

• The intensification and
modernization of agriculture and livestock farming;
• The increase and diversification of income of the population.
With in view the professionalizing of the agriculture and cattle
breeding, the authorities promote also the classic production
methods (..., dairy farms, etc.), while mixed farms are very
productive, adapt themselves well to the ecosystem, and control the
natural sources better.

The
project of a mixed farm is an initiative that fits in this dynamic;
the farm starts with livestock farming (chickens, turkeys, goats,
sheep, pigs, bullocks, etc.) and integrates progressively with the
production of plants (fruit, corn, vegetables, water hyacinth,
etc.), and fish farming. |
The integration
ends with the installation of a production unit of biogas. That's how at
the end you get a farm where the integration of the system makes it
possible to produce a part of the necessary foodstuffs and energy for
the development of the livestock farming.
The operational management of the farm school is based on the "power of
the triangle system" of which the secret lays in the mutual
supplementation of the three production domains: Fish farming,
Agriculture and Livestock farming. Nothing is going to waste, everything
will be used.
In a nutshell:
The global objective is to create a farm school that develops
a reliable and cheap production system, based on
agro-biology and
integrating Agriculture, Livestock farming and Fish
farming in Burkina Faso, by using the local resources en
diminish the production costs by emphasizing the potential synergy
between the different production sectors and benefit from them.
We
want:

Give opportunity to young
people having a vocation for farming to have good training and give
them the means for equipment to start a small business in production
of milk and cheese, fruit and vegetables, and poultry, pigs and fish
farming.
Train new generation of
farmers to reduce unemployment |

Bring awareness in
educating farmer to have the right skills for their vocation.
Stimulate in the mind the
urgent need of farm business to bring fundamental development within
countries in the desert.

Train 280 young as skilled farmers in 10 years in new
strategic ways of farming in the Sahara region.
Organize and install
40 cooperatives with the aim of
producing with the high knowledge of farming in 10 years.

Bring new views in enterprise through farming.
New technology can combine both traditional and modern ways of
growing logistically in quality and quantity.
